   It was a send off for the Enterprise. Most of the characters on the   
   Enterprise (Pike and Number One for sure) won't be returning next season. I'm   
   not sure about Spock.

   They didn't indicate as much, but you never know. I personally thought they   
   were going to give us a Borg origin story.
