   Sure he has a brother; that's who he's talking to on a com at one point,   
   although the movie is so ineptly made that it's hard to catch.  The reason   
   he doesn't get along with the stepfather is that the guy is molesting him,   
   but you have to read interviews with the actor (who bizarrely thought he   
   was playing Kirk's uncle) to get that part.
