   Well, talking about that would really be off topic and would probably   
   cause more issues... but suffice to say, these people are actors.  Some   
   of them not even Americans.  I want to be entertained by a TV show.  I   
   don't want all the press about it to be about what the actor playing the   
   Captain of Discovery thinks about people who voted for the current   
   president, or how they all made a big "stand" (kneel) in support of NFL   
   players who want to protest the national anthem.  (For that matter, the   
   same goes for them.... shut up and play football).  Sure, they can   
   express their opinions, but do it as private citizens on their own time.   
      
   None of us would probably be able to protest on our company time and get   
   away with it.
