It was still a few months and I'd be delirious with joy if        they were coming out a lot more frequently but I'll take what they can        give. I'd expected it to be several more months before we saw another        episode.              I really liked the script this time and thought it was a worthy        successor to Mirror, Mirror. Unfortunately, Jerome Bixby, who wrote that        episode, is gone but I'd like to think his spirit has seen it and is        pleased somehow....              One major nit: they made a major error in having Chekhov go back to the        agony booth then put him in the group that was trying to capture Spock        and Scotty. That was completely illogical. They should have sent a        different character OR explained that Chekhov was going to get the        chance of earning evil Kirk's trust again by helping arrest the mutineers.              It was an interesting turnaround to show the ship's councillor as the        floozie this time around and have Lt. Moreau be (apparently) monogamous.              I loved the way the scene on the shuttle deck ended with Spock throwing        good Kirk's words back in evil Kirk's face :-)              I give the writers full credit for trying something very ambitious and        difficult: trying to show how a tyranny might fall apart rather quickly        once the first visible crack appears. Very few writers would have dared        do anything quite that big and almost none in a mere 42 minutes. Very        well done, all things considered!              --        Rhino       --- Synchronet 3.15a-Linux NewsLink 1.92-mlp        * Origin: A noiseless patient Spider (1:2320/105.97)       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
