|    TOS Novel First Frontier    |

From Newsgroup: alt.tv.star-trek.tos       From Address: Tanada@peakoil.com       Subject: TOS Novel First Frontier              I just discovered and read the TOS novel First Frontier by Dr. James        Kirkland and Diane Carey. I decided to give it a shot because I really        enjoyed two of Diane Carey's other TOS novels, Dreadnought and its sequel,        Battlestations!              http://www.amazon.com/First-Frontier-Star-Trek-ebook/dp/B003IYI6       W/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1378764630&sr=1-2&keywor       s=first+frontier              I enjoyed the story a great deal, it was fast paced and had a couple of        unexpected plot twists that kept me guessing, well worth the $5.69 it cost        me. Had I been in Kirks position I don't know that I would have followed        the same pathway he took, but the way the book went was well enough in the        plausible character of the Captain especially with the extenuating        circumstances to explain any off key notes in the portrayal of his actions.              Has anyone else read it? If so what did you think?                     --        Allen W.
