I guess my military background makes me less sympathetic to a vessel        that had the sole mission of destroying all of humanity, as well as the        Vulcans. Sure, there were probably children aboard, but like the        Taliban regarding the west, they would have probably been indoctrinated        to hate humans and Vulcans as well. That certainly doesn't mean they        should be eliminated, but unfortunately, their parents made the choice        to support that cause (at least outwardly - as with the Taliban, I'm        sure many totally disagree, but fear for their lives if they dissent).              A sad fact of war is that you have to consider those in the crossfire as        collateral damage, in order to defeat the true enemies. It's not fair,        it's evil, but that's the nature of war.              Natalie       --        "Wicked little doll, you have no soul"       (David Byrne, 1997)       http://www.supernaturalusa.net       --- Synchronet 3.15a-Linux NewsLink 1.92-mlp       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
