The big problem they had with Pulaski was making her nasty towards Data.
They were trying to recapture the McCoy/Spock feud, but Spock was more
than able to defend himself, and Data wasn't. The result was it seemed
like she was picking on an innocent child.

If Pulaski had stuck around, we might have been spared crap like Sub
Rosa, or Barclay Devolves Into A Spider, Or Crusher is Being Sucked Into
Another Universe, or Crusher is too Stupid to Know Klingons Have 2
Spines, or Crusher is too Stupid to Read the Manual on Trills, or
Crusher is Too Stupid to do the Memory Wipe, or Crusher Doesn't Care
that O'Brien Has a Dislocated Shoulder, or Crusher Runs Around On a
Planet Reading Picard's Mind etc. etc. etc.
