   Riiiiiiight. They are complete nobodies. Naturally the Academy makes a   
   habit of offering membership to people who HAVEN'T distinguished   
   themselves. Sure.

   Why would they care? Blockbuster's aren't good for the industry? The   
   complete opposite is true, the Academy would love to nominate a   
   blockbuster because it guarantees better TV ratings. If Twilight   
   wasn't such horseshit they'd nominate that just to get the millions of   
   teen girls to tune in who normally don't care about Oscar night.   
   Titanic made 600 million, Return of the King made hundreds of   
   millions, both nominated, both won best picture. You're wrong.
