   Which isn't the same as saying Star Trek 2009 is on par with Star Wars   
   1977. Not even close. Not the same solar system.

   J.J. Abrams will never get anywhere near an Oscar this year or any   
   other year. He's better than hacks like Michael Bay and Bret Ratner,   
   but still nothing more than a competent director of action films.
