   I always found Chekov incredibly annoying.  It was as if Star Trek had been    
   revised from a live-action science fiction pulp magazine to a Saturday morning    
   cartoon with kid characters in it.  That was what I thought as a high school   
   age    
   viewer, so you can probably imagine what my reaction to the appearance of   
   Wesley    
   Crusher was 20 years later.   
      
   This is not necessarily a dig at Koenig, as he probably just played the role   
   the    
   way someone told him to.
