   And it got corrected in the movies to some degree.   
      
   Nichelle Nichols had some good moments in ST III: TSFS.   
      
   James Doohan had good moments in ST IV: TVH.   
      
   George Takei had a *major* role as the Excelsior captain in ST VI: The    
   Undiscovered Country.
