Yes - what I don't get is why any of the others would think we'd want to
see them trash each other? For the most part, we love them all. Even
if I hated Shat, which I never did - just didn't care for him for a
while, I don't want to read someone's bitter comments about him. Leaves
a worm in my stomach, and makes me uncomfortable. Like what's going on
with Tiger Woods right now - I don't like golf, but have no feelings one
way or another for him. Though even if I were his fan, I wouldn't want
to hear about the very personal parts of his life! You can't avoid it -
it's all over the "legitimate" news; ditto all that other crap about
Lohan, etc. If a celeb I like has problems, I just want to know they're
having problems - no details needed, just so I can pray for him/her.
But you don't get that, you get every sordid detail blared in your face.
I love celeb mags like Us, People, and Entertainment Weekly, but I
swear on my sister's grave, I only like to read about their career
stuff, see what cool (or ghastly) clothes they're wearing. Their love
lives, marital problems, drug/alcohol details are their own, IMO. I DO
think we should know if they're sexual predators, or some equally awful
threat to the public, so that we can decide if we want to continue to be
their fans; but the normal human problems are none of our effing
business. However, there must be a massive audience for that shit,
because it's omnipresent. I guess those who revel in misery are the
majority. I say that's the reason reality TV is so big - they want to
see the participants turn on each other, ever since that filthy show
   "Weakest Link".

If that's what people really need to see/read, they need to discover
   real writing/performances.
