   ...Actually, some of the effects in TBH were done quite well. However   
   implausible, you have to admit the meteor rolling down the middle of   
   the ship was pretty well done. Most of the others at the time, tho,   
   were observed by some as being the first time they'd recalled a Disney   
   live-action film where corners were cut on special effects. Even the   
   last "Herbie" film didn't cut as many corners.   
      
   If rumors are correct, the biggest problem with TBH was that nobody   
   had a clue just what sort of film they wanted from what was nothing   
   more than a recycling of the basic "Captain Nemo" plot, right down to   
   the ship going down in a whirlpool...
