   The Vulcans have always been hypocrites.  Their "more logical than thou"    
   attitude actually reflected their insecurity about their own ability to live   
   up    
   to their chosen way of life.  Similar to today's self-righteous religious who    
   condemn everyone who doesn't embrace codes of behavior that they know they   
   can't    
   live up to themselves without trying to remove all temptation from the world    
   around them.
