Oh, it's worse on IMDb, at least as far as getting things fixed. I
update an actress friend of mine's page at both sites. Some asshole
decided she's 2 years older than she really is. Thing is, I've known
her since we were 12 and in 7th grade together. I know damn well how
old she is. On Wiki, I was able to explain that on the changes page and
they listened and stopped making her older. On IMDb, no such luck.
They used to change it back and forth constantly but stopped, on the
theory that 'the older age is always correct' - assholes.

On my own page, somebody went in and killed the credits for my team that
built the Nautilus replica for the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea DVD.
For one of the guys, that was his only industry credit, and his entire
page vanished! I've tried for a couple years to get it reinstated, but
IMDb doesn't even acknowledge your attempts; changes either appear or
   they don't.

While massive abuse can and does happen on Wiki, at least there's a
record of it, and you can be heard.
