It's good, if you look at it in the right way.       It's a movie in the "Breezy Summer Movie" genre, and as such, it's a       pretty good breezy summer movie.              Is it good Star Trek? Well no, not particularly. It doesn't have any       of the higher pretensions Trek has. It's not about knowledge or       exploration or philosophy or any of that stuff. But if you like       breezy summer movies, this was a good one. i personally wouldn't have       seen it if it hadn't had Star Trek in the title, though. I ignore       dozens of movies like this ever year. But I don't mind watching them       once in a while.              It had its high points, though. Nimoy was great, and I liked Karl       Urban's McCoy impersonation. I'd take it over Enterprise any day.                            --- Synchronet 3.15a-Linux NewsLink 1.92-mlp        * Origin: http://groups.google.com (1:2320/105.97)       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
