   At ... probably Comic-Con, definitely one in California, Nichelle was at    
   a table sort of in a hallway with people signing and selling stuff, and    
   I was poised to take a picture of her when I noticed this big NO    
   PHOTOGRAPHS sign behind her.  She looked at me, looked up at the sign,    
   looked back at me, and struck a pose and gave me her most dazzling    
   smile.  Well, I wasn't about to pass up an invitation like that!  click    
   FLASH!  I mouthed 'thank you' to her and she smiled and nodded and went    
   back to her table.  She didn't have a thing to gain from it but making a    
   fan happy, and that she did.   
      
   Just another con story this put me in mind of:  Avery Brooks showed up    
   for his first con.  He went to sign autographs and found out they were    
   making the fans pay, and pay dearly, for his signature.  Nobody had told    
   HIM it was a paid autograph line, and he wasn't getting a bite of it.     
   So he had a little talk with the con runners, and suddenly the autograph    
   money, or at least a good portion of it, was earmarked for IIRC the    
   United Negro College Fund, or some worth charity he endorsed.
