   Not necessarily. There could have been an explanation, for example,   
   that the name is too difficult to pronounce for humans (as in   
   "Babel"), or, as another example,  in their culture, the name is too   
   personal to reveal to outsiders. Roddenberry named every character   
   except her, so he must have wanted to keep her name a mystery. I don't   
   assume that he would have eventually revealed it.
