   The point is, humans don't need to save every damn species on this    
   planet.   
      
   No humans are going to starve if the snail darter or the passenger    
   pigeon or even the whale goes extinct.  We won't miss them.   
      
   We've already domesticated the species we can use.   
      
   We don't need to sacrifice our standard of living to save some bird or    
   bug or frog or insect.
