   By they, I assume you mean Kenneth Branagh, Thor's director? Ask   
   Kenneth Branagh whether he thinks only white actors should play   
   Hamlet. Do you see what I'm getting at?

   Perhaps Branagh is saying that race is as much an artificial construct   
   as are gods.   
   Either way, anyone who says "I'm not going to see Thor because the   
   Norse gods (aka Viking/Scandinavian types) are being portrayed by a   
   diverse cast, and that's their PRIMARY reason for not seeing it....   
   well they need to take a good hard look in the mirror about what is at   
   the root of their attitudes.
