   No, they haven't. A Vatican commission had it all set to turn that way   
   back in the '60s (with 35 of 40 members in favor), but Paul VI caved to   
   the right wing and "Humanae Vitae" shot down the commission's results. A   
   sad day for the Church, IMO. (I see a huge difference between preventing   
   a pregnancy and killing a fetus.)
