   Well right here on Earth, the Catholic Church used to be against any    
   form of birth control--even in marriage--other than the rhythm method.    
   At least now they have relented for married couples.   
      
   The religious view used to be that the only legitimate purpose of sex    
   was procreation, NOT recreation. Even for married couples.
