   Yes, but then the writer would have had a problem getting Spock from A   
   to Z at warp speed so he could promptly relate all the lurid details   
   to McCoy.   
   Maybe Travers didn't know much about computers-- who did in 1968?--   
   but he probably did know that this was a bit of a "trick question"   
   but  figured nobody would notice it, and he could get away with   
   putting Karidian in that group without too many people writing to say,   
   "Hey, that's not fair; Karidian wasn't even around then!" Had it been   
   written these days, the "error" would be all over the internet heh   
   heh.
