   My free lesson to you is that attempts at being sardonic and sarcastic often    
   don't work on the internet.  Especially if you don't mark them with the    
   universal symbol of intended humor. :)

   Since that was NEVER my point, and I was responding to what I thought was your    
   belief in a plot hole based on the Enterprise computer's performance, this    
   exchange turned out to be two people engaging in totally different arguments   
   and    
   I agree that continuing it would be a waste of time.   
      
   Spock definitely posed a poorly-worded question, and the computer's ability to    
   still turn it into useful information anyway was a realistic depiction of the    
   way programmers attempt to build databases.
