   Spock doesn't appear to be chained or crazy-glued to his seat.  If the    
   computer returned data that could not be delivered audibly in an    
   efficient manner he would likely have moved.  However, since we don't    
   know what the computer's defaults are for presenting search results,    
   it's possible it just delivered the most recent hits first, which would    
   have been the fact that all four names were part of a database inquiry    
   made by Kirk that same day.   
      
   You seem determined not to believe that a computer 200 years in the    
   future could have the same capabilities that Google has right now.
