   Yes, I speculated on that possibility previously.  But either way, the   
   computer wouldn't have have to correct any erroneous data or make any   
   intuitive connections if it was programmed to do truly all-inclusive   
   searches.  What the four people Spock asked it about had in common was   
   that their names were all associated with Kirk's last database inquiry   
   (and Kirk didn't lock down his results the way he would be shown doing   
   the following season in "Mirror, Mirror.") You could probably get that   
   kind of readout today by programming a database to include its own   
   history logs as part of its information searches.
