   According to "The Singularity is Near", computers of the not too   
   distant future will be able to anticipate what someone is thinking and   
   act according. Google more or less does a version of this already,   
   auto-completing your searches for you, or giving you an alternate   
   search if you misspell a word. It's not special at all that the   
   Enterprise computer knew what Kirk meant when he said Karidian instead   
   of Kodos. It's to be expected.
