   I'm a bit surprised that Memory Alpha doesn't make the slightest   
   mention of this plot hole. And oddly enough, since The Conscience of   
   the King is also a major sub-plot in the Shatner/Reeves-Stevens book,   
   Avenger, it doesn't even mention the novel. Usually Memory Alpha has   
   tons of trivia, but they are sorely lacking in this area here. Huh; I   
   wonder why..?
