But the sur-snake makes an awesome villain. And it's a better       "generation gap" episode than The Way to Eden.              The aqua-shuttle is pretty nifty, too.              > So on the whole: not bad. It's just a shame the writers and producers still       > haven't learned that the 25-minute format demands that the stories be kept       simple.              Given the multiple authors, I'd imagine most of these episodes were       written simultaneously, and it's possible that the entire season of       scripts was generated before the time-consuming animation process       produced the first completed episode. There's also the possibility       that the quick pace of the stories is a Filmation/Hal Sutherland       contribution, regardless of any Star Trek alumni involvement. It's       fairly obvious that there's a Filmation stamp on this Trek and that       Gene R. and DCF weren't given carte blanche to completely rewrite the       rules of Saturday morning programming.              Rik       --- Synchronet 3.15a-Linux NewsLink 1.92-mlp        * Origin: http://groups.google.com (1:2320/105.97)       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
