   True.  But the sur-snake makes an awesome villain.  And it's a better   
   "generation gap" episode than The Way to Eden.   
      
   The aqua-shuttle is pretty nifty, too.

   Given the multiple authors, I'd imagine most of these episodes were   
   written simultaneously, and it's possible that the entire season of   
   scripts was generated before the time-consuming animation process   
   produced the first completed episode.  There's also the possibility   
   that the quick pace of the stories is a Filmation/Hal Sutherland   
   contribution, regardless of any Star Trek alumni involvement.  It's   
   fairly obvious that there's a Filmation stamp on this Trek and that   
   Gene R. and DCF weren't given carte blanche to completely rewrite the   
   rules of Saturday morning programming.
