I liked how this episode gives nodding references to past episodes.

Members of the following races can be spotted as also being caught in
   the time trap:

Vulcan, Andorian, Orion, Tellarite, Gorn, Klingon, Rumulan(?), and
that shapeshifter race in "The Survivor". There was a creature that
looked vaguely plant like. I was a little bit curious if that race was
encountered in the Infinite Vulcan. I haven't watched that episode in
a long time. I purchased the DVD several years ago but haven't gotten
around to rewatching the Infinite Vulcan.

Maybe it was a little rushed, but all in all, I found the Time Trap a
   well-done entertaining episode.
