   Oh, it's being taught.  They are just being forced to pass kids that when we    
   were growing up would have flunked.  The direct result, I suspect, of "No    
   child left behind".  Another result is an entire generation growing up with    
   entitlement issues.   
      
   Although honestly, when I was in college comp class, and we had to correct    
   other people's papers, (I was 30 then), I wondered how some of them got out    
   of high school.  One guy didn't know the difference between their, they're,    
   and there.  He used every one of them in the wrong.
