   I recently got the new version with the better special effects on DVD   
   (and I watch it like crazy) so I came on deja to review talk about   
   this ep! I found a long discussion-review of this ep about nine years   
   ago started by someone called Connmoore! It appears years ago that   
   you, Graeme, felt that Bela Oxmyx was a bad Kirk-made choice to run   
   the Iotian planet rather than Jojo Krako (as the latter had tried to   
   cut Kirk in for a percentage while OTOH Oxmyx didn't offer Koik   
   beans). Well, you were right to a large degree but what of BO's   
   longtime familiar leadership in more or less running the planet as   
   being a contributing factor in Kirk's decision? Think that's a point?
