   If ya say so... But what Roddenberry says is not canon. He can say tha   
   tthey secretly hate each others guts, but what matters is what seen on   
   the screen. And what's seen is that each of the bridge crew-- and of   
   course, Chapel too-- would give their lives for each other. No more,   
   no less, than Kirk and Spock, Had it been Spock lost in interphase and   
   Sulu was in command, h would have done everything he could-- even if   
   it meant breaking orders. We saw him in ST: VI defy Starfleet in   
   helping get Kirk and McCoy back from prison.
