   Private Little War is by far the messiest, yes. They just rarely did   
   anything like that. Charlie X yes too, although I don't know how else   
   to end it short of Kirk killing Charlie (which would REALLY have been   
   messy).   
   I'm not criticizing Orion. In fact, I think I'd consider it my 3rd   
   favorite TAS episode after Yesteryear and Slaver Weapon. To do the   
   messy ending to this story justice, it would have had to be a long   
   story arc.

   Don't get me started on that one. Picard is completely confused in   
   that episode, first giving engine parts to another race, and then   
   realizing he's not supposed to. He seems to have absolutely no idea   
   what the Prime Directive means or doesn't mean. Granted, he has a lot   
   of company there, but he always acts as though he does know.
