   To finish the thought, that's not a bad idea, but the two questions it   
   raises for me, are   
   a) Why is their own corner so interesting that it's worth hanging   
   around in (usually, they seem very uninteresting).   
   b) Why is their own corner still around and still habitable after all   
   these millennia?  (Sometimes it may not be. Trelane's family seemed to   
   be wanderers).
