I just found out that I can delete ALL the message by using the DEL key   
   from the main menu screen.  But this deletes ALL the messages and doesn't   
   purge them down to 50 messages per area and 90 days max which I would rather   
   do by doing an ALT M and selecting purge.   
      
   Any ideas anyone?
