   That is about average.  Most do not take long.

   None of that was a factor in your firearms background check.  It checks    
   your name, etc.. to see if  you are a prohibited possessor.  Those are    
   folks who are prohibited from purchasing a firearm due to a felony    
   conviction, mental adjudication, under an indictment, dishonorable    
   discharge from the military, renouncement of citizenship, convicted of    
   domestic violence, a subject of a retraining order, etc..
