VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for SAN Administrator for our Qatar
operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skill Set required:
• Minimum 5 years of SAN administration experience
• Level 3 administration of EMC Symmetrix VMAX, DMX4 – 950, VNX,
Clariion CX4, Celerra NS40 G and Centera Gen4
o Required to have advanced administrative skills, troubleshooting
knowledge on all the above storage products
o Should have worked and having experience on all types of SRDF,
mirror view replication configuration, and troubleshooting
o Should have strong knowledge and experience of Recover Point
configuration, administration and troubleshooting
o Must have knowledge and experience of disaster recovery
configuration, testing, failover, failback and etc…
o Must have strong knowledge and experience of migrations like both
array based and host based
o Very good administrative skills and troubleshootingknowledge of FC
switches.
o Should havesolid skills and experience on cisco MDS 9000 series
switches
o Should have knowledge of FCIP configuration, administration and
troubleshooting
o Should have knowledge and experience of EMC Data Domain
configuration and administration
o Should have solid knowledge of virtual tape library configuration,
administration and experience
o Should have backup configuration, restoration and troubleshooting
knowledge of either IBM TSM or EMC Networker backup software’s.
o Perform regular health check and monitoring of all the storage
network nodes
o Generating timely capacity utilization reports
Additional Qualifications:
o Basic knowledge of multiple Operating systems like, Windows, RHEL,
Solaris and VMware
o Basic knowledge of application and database functionality
o Basic knowledge of IBM and HP enclosures and blade servers
configuration and administration
o Basic network troubleshooting knowledge
o At least one storage certificate, either SNIA or EMC professional
o Good communication skills both writing and speaking
