   It's been many years now, but as I recall, an ethusiastic Synchronet sysop   
   thought there should be a place to discuss Synchronet on Facebook, so they   
   created it. I was added as an admin/moderator shortly after. I just post   
   announcements there and try to direct people asking questions where to go to   
   get good answers/discussions.

   Sure. I imagine there are Facebook groups to dicuss Mastadon, Discord and   
   Reddit too and every other "social media" software or platform. But I wouldn't   
   think to go to FB to seek support for them. Seems odd.
