   The reason this feature isn't easy (and likely why it wasn't implemented   
   before) is that it's not until a QWK packet has been successfully downloaded   
   that we then would need to go back through the message bases and flag each   
   message that was included in the packet as read. This is already done for the   
   mail base (for email/netmail that was successfully downloaded via QWK) but not   
   for the sub-boards. It's easier for the mail base because there are no   
   pointers and the max-messages-per-packet limit likely wasn't reached, so all   
   the mail is scanned for unread and marked read.   
      
   It's doable for sub-boards too, but not trivial.
