Yes, I've heard of eternal-september. I had just recently learned of novabbs .
And found the author/maintainer passed two months ago. He had a software
project called rock solid light. He has some news groups fed by RSS feeds; and
I pull them in my e-s.

I had read some bad things about e-s and didn't know if it was reliable to use
as a feed for normal news groups. So I had went to a direct provider, and
astra web had been recommented by a few people.

A work peer recommended news daemon and they have a block plan that can auto
renew, at $3. And the block is 50GB vs 25GB @ $10 with astra. So that is what
i'm using right now. Thanks for the pointer/reminder to e-s.
