   I tried a few permutations on how to get this, but could use another hint.   
      
   I eventually reset the sbbscfg->system->loadable modules field to default (at   
   least for 3.20d)   
   read mail: msglist mail -preview   
   scan msgs: blank   
   scan subs: blank   
   list msgs: msglist   
      
   The output of this was in a previous message.   
      
   I've tried to change read mail and list msgs setting to: smbutil v   
   However, it errors out when trying to view the message.  Could you help where   
   / how to use smbutil v to get the details?   
      
   In your message I think maybe you're on to something.  This was maybe imported   
   via sbbsecho if it's coming through the FTN network.
