   So maybe like an optional prompt "Do you wish to provide your email or netmail   
   address"? And if the user answers Yes, then the address has to be valid?   
      
   It'd be helpful created an issue at gitlab.synchro.net and save the   
   request/suggestion there or if you describe it in more detail here I can   
   create an issue and paste the details there.
