   It sounds like a bug in SBBSecho. Can you search your data/sbbsecho.log file   
   for lines that say "AreaMgr (for x) Linking area: y" where x is the node   
   address and y is teh echo-tag?   
      
   Is the node number "weird" in that/those log messages?
