   My experience with USB dongle modems is not good. The USRobotics are really   
   the best of the best in terms of compatibility and reliability.   
      
   But even with mgetty, if you flip dip-switch 1 down (to force DTR always on),   
   mgetty won't be able to disconnect the modem user/caller either. That's not   
   really a solution.
