   I actually did that back in 2010 on a VPS, I remember having a few minor   
   issues can't remember what the issues were now.   
    That's when I bought a cheap windows thin client PC and have been running on   
   that for years.   
    I have also setup Synchronet on a raspberry pi just for the fun of it.   
   If my thin client ever goes out I will probably move over to the PI.
