   Use FILE_RETRY_COUNT from xpdev to get random-exponential backoff on retries   
      
   I've had good results using this in SBBS, so hoping this'll help with some   
   of the bigger filebase locking errors I'm getting (i.e. from delfiles.js   
   removnig files daily).   
      
   Increase the setvbuf() value here from 2KB to 64KB for no obvious reason.
