   I'll give slrn a try; doesn't seem to be in epel so may have to download it   
   from github or elsewhere.

   Wonder if having BBS and Usenet servers listed in config; confuses PAN.   
      
   May try removing usenet servers; and only have bbs and see if it makes a   
   difference.
