   Synchronet does use nodelist information.  In echocfg, there's a section   
   called "Domains", where a "domain" is a network.  In there, you can configure   
   which nodelist filse to use for which FTN network.  For instance, you can have   
   a domain entry called "fidonet", with zones 1,2,3,4 and specify the fidonet   
   nodelist file there.  And for each linked node you add, you can specify the   
   domain of the node.  Synchronet (or rather, sbbsecho) will match the node to   
   the nodelist that way.
