   I don't even think Marc knows what his system is doing and/or thinks it's   
   doing what it's supposed to.   
      
   Either way, I recently created an account on eternal-september.org and   
   subscribed to a bunch of newsgroups (BBS related, 2600 related, Fido (even   
   Russian fido7 newsgroups) related) to see if there was any activity there.   
   Usenet as a whole seems fairly dead, unfortunately.   
      
   I guess my point is blocking Usenet wouldn't be missing much, if anything at   
   all, besides spam posts/advertisements and maybe one random legit message   
   every few months. With that being said, these days it's probably easier to   
   search the web and find a BBS than it is to even get access to alt.bbs.*   
   unless you're already on a BBS that is carrying it.
